We’re seeking expressions of interest for light art and projection installations. Turn on the lights, and switch on your imaginations – this is your chance to shine brightly to a massive audience.

Tree filled with lights

Next year’s winter spectacle will run from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August 2020. The theme is Past, Present, Future.

Every two years, House of Travel Botanic D’Lights transforms Christchurch Botanic Gardens into a spectacle of illuminated artworks and innovative light installations. Last year’s event attracted more than 100,000 people over five nights.

Next year’s winter spectacle will once again engage with local and national lighting artists, designers and creative thinkers – and we’d love to see what you have to offer. This event has proved to be popular and is growing in size, with this in mind next year's venue will expand to include North Hagley Park.

House of Travel Botanic D’Lights is developed and produced by Christchurch City Council. If you have any questions please email botanicdlights@ccc.govt.nz
