Off the Ground Fund - Spreydon-Cashmere Ward

Apply for a grant of up to $250, bring your community together for a project or spontaneous event - and get your idea off the ground!

Applications for projects by groups and individuals will be considered.

How it works

  1. Complete the application form [PDF, 675 KB]
  2. Send or drop in your application (with a bank deposit slip) to the Beckenham Service Centre, 66 Colombo Street, P O Box 73021, Christchurch 8154. 
  3. Take photographs of the event/project (before and after). 
  4. Send in the photographs and all related invoices and receipts. The grant will be paid after the event.

Off the Ground Fund - Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Ward

Apply for a grant of up to $400 for a local project or spontaneous event and get your idea off the ground.

Examples of projects that have been funded are a community BBQ, park mural and a local Christmas Carol event.

Applications for projects can be by organisations, groups or individuals.

Unless requested, the grant will be paid after the project has happened and receipts have been received. Please note, this fund cannot be used to purchase alcohol.

How it works

  2. Send in your application (with a bank deposit slip) to: halswell.hornby.riccarton@ccc.govt.nz  or post to Halswell, Hornby, Riccarton Off the Ground Fund C/- Fendalton Service Centre, 4 Jeffreys Road, P O Box 73020, Christchurch 8154. 
  3. You will be informed of the outcome of your application within two weeks.
  4. Take photographs or record the event in some way so we can see the impact you have had on your community.
  5. Send in the photographs and all related invoices and receipts to be reimbursed.

Light Bulb Moments Fund - Linwood-Central-Heathcote Ward

Apply for a grant of up to $250, bring your community event or project off the ground and bring some light to your community!

Applications for projects by groups, individuals and organisations will be considered.

You will be informed of the outcome to your application within two weeks.

How it works

  1. Complete the application form. [PDF, 3 MB]
  2. Send or drop in your application (with a bank deposit slip) to the Linwood Service Centre, 1st Floor, Eastgate Mall, P O Box 73052, Christchurch 8154. 
  3. Take photographs of the event/project (before and after). 
  4. Send in the photographs, all related receipts and a short report on how things went. Please contact us if you need help with this.
  5. You may also be invited to attend an event hosted by the Linwood-Central-Heathcote Community Board to celebrate Light Bulb Moments Fund Projects.
