This modern, multi-function facility offers a warm, welcoming space for a variety of activities. With a high pitched ceiling and glass sliding doors at either end, the spacious hall can be split into two for smaller gatherings.

  • $10.50 per hour community group
  • $17.50 per hour self employed tutor
  • $29 per hour private social functions
  • $58.50 per hour commercial events, seminars and corporate events
  • $29 per hour community events and fundraisers.

General

  • $30 security charge for social functions
  • $400 bond required for social bookings
  • $50 deposit (non refundable, additional charge) required for social bookings with a value of $150 or more.

You must be over the age of 18 to legally hire a Council Facility.
No overnight stays are permitted.
No candles are to be used.

Health and safety

As part of the rental agreement the hirer accepts legal responsibilities to meet evacuation plans, health and safety responsibilities and to act as the facility warden.

All users are required to complete, sign and date a 'pre use' form (available from the Beckenham Service Centre) before using the St Martins Community Centre. 

Hours of hire The St Martins Community Centre is available for hire, 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.
Alcohol The consumption and supply of alcohol is not permitted at this facility.
Equipment available 

Hall

  • 9 power points (5 in larger room and 4 in smaller room when space is divided)
  • 2 heat pumps, one in each part of the room
  • 4 flip top tables 1800 x 900 mm
  • 35 stacker chairs.

Kitchen facilities

  • Kettle for hot water
  • Kitchenette with sink and bench top
  • Microwave
  • Dishwasher and oven (no stove top)
  • Wash up sink and bench top.

All users are required to supply their own tea towels, wash up cloths, crockery, rubbish bags and cleaning liquids.

Parking Off-street parking for three vehicles (access off Wade Road).
Plenty of on-street parking on Wades and Wilsons Road adjacent to the community centre.
