5 June Arbor Day is an annual day to highlight the importance of trees in our society. Several planting days are planned.
September Clean Up New Zealand Week is held in the second week of September each year.
September Conservation Week is running  in September this year and we have several planting days planned.
Ongoing Help out with the Council's Graffiti Removal Programme in parks and other areas around the city.
Ongoing Weedbusters is a national programme for pest plant advocacy and control.
Ongoing Te Ara Kakariki, the Canterbury Greenway Trust, plants out natives at a number of sites and welcome help from interested volunteers.
Ongoing Trees for Canterbury invite families to get involved in their planting days for 2017.
