Conservation Volunteers New Zealand and Council urban rangers offer a lunchtime volunteer opportunity for busy central city professionals.
Take a break from your desk and help tidy up the green heart of our city. Bring your lunch to this Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) and Christchurch City Council urban parks joint event where we will do some light weeding.
Spend 30 to 60 minutes doing something good for the environment, then sit and chat over your packed lunch with like-minded new friends. Be active, give back, be outside, feel good.
This is the perfect volunteering opportunity for the busy professional, who wants to #giveback but struggles to find the time in their busy lifestyle.
Tasks will be focused on light weeding – nothing too dirty or strenuous.
Wear sturdy shoes or gumboots. High-vis vests, gloves and tools will be provided.
Register your interest by emailing Hamish Fairbairn at HFairbairn@cvnz.org.nz or Parks.Volunteers@ccc.govt.nz
If the weather is wet, we will cancel until the next date.
