The Council has approved a master plan to help determine the future of Queen Elizabeth II Park and how it will be used, making sure the environment and buildings are connected and the area works well for the community.
For the first stage of the development there will be $3.4 million in funding available. The first stage will include a playground featuring a sandpit with a digger and buried 'fossils', a basket swing, wooden horses and a tube slide. Planning for the first stage is underway from July 2019.
All other developments are unfunded and progress will be subject to budget being allocated through future Council Long Term Plans.
